Two new specialized tractors for Specialists

The Wide Orchard and the Low Wide Vineyard were introduced in Bari. Ideal solutions for the professionals of specialized farming. Carraro is confirmed as “the manufacturer of specialized tractors”.

Bari, 22th October 2015 – Last Sunday the 2015 Agrilevante edition came to a conclusion. Agrilevante is one of the most important Italian exhibitions dedicated to agricultural machines and technologies. Both the turnout (15% more than in the past) and the international appeal this exhibition is gaining were impressive. In Puglia, right in the heart of the Italian specialized farming, this year Carraro introduced two new models specifically conceived for this field, thus proving to be a reference point for the professionals of this sector. The new Wide Orchard (FL) and Low Wide Vineyard (VLB) join the four preexisting models Vineyard, Wide Vineyard, Orchard and Low Orchard, which had already obtained the public’s attention. The great appeal of these new models was confirmed by the fact that, throughout the 4-day-exhibition, several contracts for the new FL and VLB were sealed.

Thanks to its established competencies in the development of transmission systems, as well as to the in-dustrial capacity of its Rovigo plant, to date Carraro is able to supply a wide spectrum of configurations with the main goal of satisfying even the most specific requirements of its clients. The new models, FL and VLB , designed by the Carraro Tractors division of the Group, were born and developed thanks to a tight collaboration between Carraro Engineering and Marketing Departments and the company’s sales network, which is proactive in listening and sharing its clients’ demands. Here below are the features of the two new models presented at Agrilevante.

WIDE ORCHARD 

Versatile, solid and performing are the adjectives that best describe this new model, designed for an application that ranges from the open field to the orchard. Its low barycenter and profile make it suitable for mountain and hill soils, guaranteeing a greater stability with respect to traditional specialized tractors. Available in both the front folding roll bar and in the version with heated/air-conditioned cabin, the FL model is equipped with a Fiat Powertrain NEF engine, 4 cylinder turbo intercooler, 74kW/100CV. There are two possibilities as for the provided Carraro transmission: 24+24 power train with mechanical reverser and synchro hi-lo or 24+12 power train with electro-hydraulic reverser and electro-hydraulic hi-lo. Among its other main features: - Carraro front axle: 1,460 mm, 55° steering angle - Tractor overall width maximum 2,426 mm - Compact cabin from 1,200 mm, suitable for rows - Reinforced three point hitch - Low barycenter, to better adapt to sloping soils - Rear lift capacity 2,600 kg (with an option of 3,000 kg)

LOW WIDE VINEYARD  

The VLB model is the most suitable co-worker if you want a tractor that combines power and reliability with height and length compactness. Preserving the compact dimension of the Low Orchard, the VLB version can be recognized thanks to its 1,155 mm front axle, which enables a minimal overall of 1.350 mm (both with 20’’ and 24’’ tires). The classic 24+24 power train, with mechanical reverser and mechanical hi-low is joined by the 24+12 power train version with electro-hydraulic reverser and electro-hydraulic hi-lo. The 24+12 transaxle is always paired with a ground drive PTO with electro-hydraulic actuation. Among its other main features: - Carraro front axle: 1,155 mm, 55° steering angle - Overall minimum width 1,350 mm, maximum 1,577 mm - Height 1,000 mm (from driving seat), 1,250 mm (bonnet) - Rear lift capacity 2,400 kg
