A "three horses" tractor to start anew

An Agricube 90 donated to a farm - in Novi di Modena - damaged by earthquake

Novi di Modena, July 11, 2012 - Carraro Agritalia demonstrates its proximity to the earthquake victims in Emilia Romagna, now donating a new "three horses" tractor to a farm in Novi di Modena that in recent weeks was deeply damaged by earthquake and also lost its tractor, essential for working in the property orchards.

This morning, in fact, in presence of Enrico Carraro, Carraro Group Chairman, of Stan Vriends, General Manager of Carraro Agritalia, of Maurizio Gianaroli, President of the Modena provincial Farmers' Confederation and of the local Carraro tractors dealer Gianni Magnani, a 90 hp tractor Agricube, especially equipped for the orchard (with lift front and front PTO) was given as a gift to the farm of Carlo Gasparini Casari.

The farm premises, based in Novi di Modena, are totally unusable and the family of the owners has been forced to live for weeks in tents and containers in front of their home, as they cannot even access some warehouses collapsed or seriously damaged. The activity of Carlo Gasparini Casari today consists only in pear orchard, and in some small plot of vines and open field, giving employment to about a dozen people during the harvesting period.

Faced with this situation, the employees of Agritalia Carraro, along with internal unions, were the first to report it to the management of the Rovigo company and they set out to start a concrete action of solidarity: each employee on a voluntary basis, donated an hour of his/her work in order to be able to "pay" a tractor to give and the company, on its side, has more than doubled the sum of money collected to reach at the actual, total cost of the tractor.
